How long has Plass Appliance been in this business?
Plass Appliance is a family owned company that was started by Art and Ed Plass back in 1938. Together they opened their very first Showroom location near the old Ovaltine Plant in Villa Park. They ran the business successfully until they were called off to serve in WWII. They turned to their brother Walter to run the business, in that he was not called to duty. Upon their return, Art worked part time with Walter before entering into Banking, while Ed returned to pursue Home Building. Walter became the owner and sole proprietor of Plass Appliance, along with his wife Eunice. Together they ran the business. Walter made a great living for himself and his family while successfully running Plass Appliance for over 50 years. Walter retired from the business at the age of 64, and was succeeded by his sons Harold and Dale who still run the business today. Presently there are third generation Plass Family members working within the business as well.

Does Plass Appliance sell bruised or reduced appliances?
Normally, we sell new, factory sealed, warranted products direct from the manufacturer with matching paperwork and serial numbers. From time to time there are products that may have some minor shipping damage or maybe a customer changed their mind. These items go to our Plass Outlet store in Addison, IL where we sell them to you as dinged, scratched or out of box products and pass on the savings to you. Local Chicago deliveries are just $69 and include White Glove service, free of charge. Orders of $2499 or more receive Free Delivery anywhere in Illinois. For deliveries outside of Illinois, please contact Plass for a freight shipping quote.
Who does installations for products that Plass sells?
Here at Plass Appliance we offer the best in delivery and installation. Our professional delivery drivers will help set up your new merchandise in home. From appliances, electronics and furniture we strive to get your product set up in your home in a working manor. We will install basic connections to your new purchase with the correct connections at time of delivery.

Who can service my product if something is defective or breaks?
Every product comes with a full manufacturer warranty, and there are many local service centers in case there is a problem. Our award winning customer service department can help you resolve any issue you might have, and our custom manufacturer's extended warranties can give you all the coverage you need to protect your purchase long term. Those warranties are renewable, transferable, and cover you nationwide for pennies a day.
What if I find a dent or scratch on my appliance after delivery?
In order to provide the best possible service, Plass delivery crews are instructed to uncrate each carton so that you may inspect it for any cosmetic damage, (dings, dents, scratches, etc.)
If any are found, the driver will contact your salesperson immediately to resolve the matter. You have the option to refuse delivery of any product that has damage. Once delivery has been completed to your satisfaction, Plass can no longer be responsible for any cosmetic damage or imperfections you may find after delivery crews have left the premises.
